To attend Little Panthers Preschool, students must be 3 or 4 by September 15th of this year. Our preschool program hours are:

Little Panthers preschool is in session Tuesday through Friday.* 

*In order to provide equitable contact for AM and PM sessions, we will have preschool on select Monday's as indicated by the Preschool Calendar.

Knoxville’s Statewide Voluntary Preschool goal is to provide a high quality preschool program that meets each child’s needs, including children with disabilities and those from diverse backgrounds.

Knoxville Little Panther Preschool provides a rich learning environment that encourages children’s natural curiosity and supports them to take risks that lead to new skill development. It is a setting where children feel cared for, safe, and respected. This is an opportunity for children to take part in planned, active learning experiences to build their readiness skills. 

Knoxville Little Panther Preschool has adopted and meets the Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards, administered by the Iowa Department of Education. The Iowa Early Learning Standards are used to guide expectations for the children and the instructional practices. The maximum class size for 3 year old preschool is 15 children per session and 4 year old preschool is 20 children per session. Teaching staff includes a full-time certified teacher and a classroom associate.  This combination of staff allows for a 1:8 staff/student ratio in the 3 year old program and a 1:10 staff/student ratio in the 4 year old program to be maintained at all times.
