PANTHER PRIDE FOCAL POINT
Everyone likes to be a part of something, to be included and feel like they belong. High Schoolers are no different, yet many spend much of their four year high school career uninvolved. In this week’s panther pride Focus, I want to challenge you. I challenge that each and every student in KHS gets involved in at least one sport, activity, or club. There are countless benefits that come with being involved with school sponsored activities, but I’m going to point out only three today. Reason number 1. Get to know different people. There are lots of people that you may see in the halls and maybe even know their names, but being involved in the same activity allows for a whole new level of relationship. Reason number 2. The future. Being involved in activities looks good on any application. Whether it is for college, an internship, or any other job they will love to see a resume of an outgoing individual. Reason number 3. Time well spent. Many teens often find extra time to themselves when they leave school and have little idea of how to spend it. School sponsored activities allow students to productively fill this time outside the school day. These are just a few of the reasons to be involved, I challenge you to go and find your own reason. You won’t be disappointed. Have a Great week and GO PANTHERS!!
