PANTHER PRIDE FOCAL POINT
A letter from KHS to you prior to testing this week:
Dear Panther Nation,
This week we will be taking the state exam called ISASP. This test will help us get a better understanding of how we can better instruct you and prepare you for your future. The ISASP will give us data (information) on your current understanding of Reading, Math, Language Arts, and for 10th graders, Science. While the state may only see you as those scores. We, here at KHS, know that you are much more than just a number you produce on a test. We know how hard you have worked over the years, how many hours you have studied, how many problems you have solved, and how many nights you have stressed. But we also know you are so much more than even that! Over the course of the year we have had the privilege to see how funny, caring, and kind you are. We have seen your courage and spirit on the field, court, and the stage. We have seen how you care for your siblings, respect your families, and support your friends. We have seen how trustworthy and thoughtful you are. And we have seen how you try to be your best everyday. The scores on the ISASP are important and we simply ask that you try your very best. Remember that these tests can tell something about your education, they cannot and will not tell everything about you....They do not define who you are to us. Be sure to get a good night’s sleep, charge your iPads, be here on time, and try your very best. We already know the true you and we know that you will do amazing, because you are a Panther and you ARE amazing!
Love,
Your KHS family
