Attendance matters!! Let's look at the difference between Truancy vs. Chronic Absence. This will help to get a better understanding in which category your child's absences would fall.

KCSD has joined the Attendance Awareness Campaign! Please stand with us as we are 'Showing Up Together' to reduce chronic absenteeism.
Chronic absenteeism is missing 10% or more of the school year or approximately 18 days over an entire year.

Last week some of our students got to cash in on some experiences they bought in our PBIS Panther Store! Clara D. worked hard serving lunch to our 4th grade! Then a large group of students had a cookie baking experience with our incredible lunch staff!!
Yesterday, students in Mrs. Collins' TAG groups had the opportunity to present their projects they have been working on in their groups. We are very proud of their dedication and work ethic to complete these in depth projects and to stand in front of their peers and present! Great job!
